The Society of the War of 1812 in the State of Ohio will host its summer meeting highlighted by the Installation of its officers on 11 July 2020 at the Ohio Genealogical Society Library in Bellville, Ohio. The program for this year’s Annual Meeting will be presented by Michael Cooper, who will speak on “Their Finest Hour: The Battle of Conchoctaw Creek and the U.S. Regiment of Riflemen.” Cooper has been a living historian for the early American period since 2006 along with his wife, Re-becca. Together, they have conducted extensive research into the clothing, life-styles, and habits of Americans from 1808 to 1821. The Coopers live in Wilmington, Ohio.
New Rules of Engagement
The Annual Meeting of the Society of the War of 1812 in the State of Ohio is the Ohio Genealogical Society (OGS).
The meeting will start at 1 p.m. at the OGS library at 611 State Route 97 West in Bellville, Ohio. Bellville is a suburb of Mansfield.
As such, we MUST abide by the rules of OGS pertaining to the pandemic.
1] ALL compatriots must bring and wear a safe and suitable mask. Do not attend if you do not wish to wear a mask.
2] Social distancing will be enforced. The main conference room is large enough to seat all who wish to attend this meet-ing safety.
3] Do not bring lunch items to the meeting. Please eat before arriving at the library.
Once again! As guests of OGS, we will abide by their rules during our meeting.
Direction:Take I-71 to Mansfield to Exit 165.
Take State Route 97 east towards Bellville.
The OGS library is approximately 1.5 miles east —– on the right side of SR 97.
